Before joining Ember, my biggest challenge was actually finding Reformer Pilates classes that accept students into the second trimester and beyond! I had been an Ember student before my pregnancy, transitioning over from a franchise studio up the road, so I had no hesitation about continuing my practice here because I truly trust the team.

Before finding Ember, my biggest frustration was the lack of options for prenatal fitness. Most studios wouldn’t accept clients past 15 weeks, and the few classes I did find were either booked out or so repetitive that I felt completely uninspired. I’ve always been active and knew my body well; I wanted a workout that would actually keep me strong for birth and recovery.
Once a friend told me about Ember, I didn't hesitate. Even though it’s a bit of a commute for me, I turned it into a weekly ritual that I truly looked forward to.
The results have been specific and measurable. Despite pregnancy usually throwing off your center of gravity, my balance has actually improved. My squats, lunges, and scooters are deeper and more stable now than they were pre-pregnancy! Beyond the physical, these classes helped me sleep better and taught me to automatically engage my core in daily life, making my movement so much safer.
Generally speaking, people can be so over-cautious with pregnant women, leading to restrictive 'blanket rules.' At Ember, I felt like myself—just heavier—and capable of everything I did before.
